Who Is Farhan Akhtar?
Farhan Akhtar is a well-known Indian filmmaker, actor, and singer who mostly worked in Hindi movies. Both of his parents Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani were screenwriters. In 1999, Farhan established the Excel Entertainment production company along with Ritesh Sidwani. Also, with the coming-of-age film Dil Chahta Hai (2001), he made his debut in direction. This film portrayed the realistic modern Indian youth and won the national award for the best Hindi film and the Filmfare award. Then in 2004, he directed the war film Lakshya, Don which is an action thriller in 2006, and the sequel of Don 2 in 2011.
