Her cricket play journey started when she was 15 to represent Goa in 2004. Later, she gets the chance to play for the Goa Ladies Senior State Side at the age of 17. While performing in an under-19 cricket competition, Purnima Rao persuaded her to play for India who is the previous India ladies group chief. After a year off, she appeared in the Board President’s XI in Jan 2010 and 2011 against England and West Indies, respectively. Thereafter, she was selected for ICC Women’s World T20 and succeeded Dilip Sardesai as a Goan player to play for the Indian national team. She is well-known as the first Goa-born player to play ODI, T20, and Test for India. On Nov 26, 2014, two one-day internationals and test matches, she scored 59 runs and took three wickets in India’s victory.
